What is a Residual Haunting
Posted On March 13, 2022
So, what exactly is a residual haunting? Before we get into the detailed description of a residual haunting lets look at the short answer first. A residual haunting is an event or ghost that keeps showing itself time after time with no regard to time. This is generally done in the same place that they passed away. The ghost event will just keep playing itself over and over. Think of it as a tape recorder that keeps playing over and over.
Stone Tape Theory
There is a theory that is called the Stone Tape theory. Meaning that ghosts, energy and events can imprint on stone surfaces as well as the wood inside of your house. The tape part is where the spirit will leave an EVP that is residual and not intelligent. Just think of it as a ghostly event that happens over and over at certain times. They will never recognize you because they are not aware of you being there. This is why it is called a residual haunting.
When a ghost (human or animal) or even an event witnesses over and over again or does the same thing, it is called residual possession. This is because the residual obsession is not a spirit or ghost, but an echo of a past event. It’s the same with human spirits – if you see a ghost doing the same thing over and over again without reacting to the current environment, it’s most likely a residual possession. You can see or hear ghosts of residual possession repeating the same action.
Things like invisible footsteps, singing, crying, laughing, or even seeing the ghost of a person doing the same are acts that indicate leftover possessions. It is believed that most of the invisible footsteps and many ghostly sounds heard in the haunted place may be the origin of the remnants. One wonders why ghosts run through the walls of houses… well, if they’re remnants of ghosts, that’s probably why. This is the ghosts from the residual haunting.
As I’ve pointed out many times before, I don’t really believe in OCD, residual or not, OCD. I find it very helpful to think of remnant ghosts as truly paranormal, and the Stone Belt Theory describes both the method by which phenomena arise and the mechanisms by which sensitive observers experience them. Stonebelt theory supports the idea that residual ghosts are like pre-recorded movies or music, and suggests ways to create and access them.
Rock Tape Theory
The rock tape theory is the suggestion that ghosts and ghosts are analogous to tape recordings and that mental impressions during emotional or traumatic events can be projected as energy, “recorded” on rocks and other objects, and “played back” under certain conditions . At the same time, the concept was popularized by a 1972 Christmas ghost story called The Stone Ribbon, produced by the BBC. In 1961, archaeologist-turned-paranormal researcher The Ghost and the Ghoul popularized these ideas, which may have inspired the BBC’s 1972 play The Band of Stone.
Paranormal research has concluded that there are different types of ghosts. This is especially true when it comes to the types of ghosts that different people encounter. Clever obsessions are a completely different kind of obsession than residual obsessions. The two most common types to encounter include residual and sentient ghosts.
This type of activity is the main type of infection studied by paranormal investigators. This type of obsession is very interesting to explore because you are only limited by your mind when it comes to thinking about ways to interact with what might be there. As the name suggests, this type of activity is associated with the intellect or consciousness.
This kind of possession includes any once living being, be it human or animal, any once living being. Whether you believe in demons or not, demonic possession is basically all the hallmarks of poltergeist possession, with a few exceptions. Depicted in horror films more than any other type of possession, demonic ghosts are malevolent, sentient ghosts that are thought to be the spirits of non-human beings or demons. Throughout history, sentient ghosts have been thought to interact with the living.
Behind most demonic ghosts, the inhabitants claim to be haunted by a black mist or black mist. Finally, the only paranormal situation that Doug Hogate Jr. hopes never to fall into is demonic possession. Now, as was said at the beginning of this section, when most people hear the term “non-human possession,” they think of demonic possession. When it comes to intelligent obsessions, since there is consciousness behind these beings, their personalities will be as different as you and I have different personalities.
Intelligent Spirits and Residual Spirits
Smart obsessions are associated with a spirit or entity that is aware and consciously interacting with humans and other creatures – think Marley’s ghost in A Christmas Carol. Smart ghosts are often associated with moving objects and/or other physical activity, such as these ghosts making sounds/noises, writing on walls/mirrors/etc, slamming doors and other physical features such as footsteps from nowhere . Haunting is usually associated with moving objects, physical contact, and sometimes physical injury.
The term, popularized in Steven Spielberg’s classic 1982 film Poltergeist, describes an obsession that can be one of the scariest things in life. Residual obsession, also known as restligeist (a German loanword) from restlich (remainder) and Geist (ghost), is seen by some as a recurring obsession that does not directly involve a ghost, spirit, or other sentient entity. To be completely honest, the residual possession is actually not so much the pursuit of a spirit as it is a recording of a specific energy.
One of the first things that a witness of residual possession will notice is that the spirit does not seem to interact and recognize that someone is present. The third thing that is sometimes noticed during this type of ghost is that one person seems to be affected more than the others and that you notice changes in that person’s behavior. It’s hard to tell if this is a psychological result of living in a haunted place or if something else is having a negative effect on him.
Sometimes residual obsessions are also associated with a frightening and/or traumatic event, and the actions and/or sounds heard during that event generate so much negative energy that it continues to replicate. According to Myers’ definition, a residual obsession is a memory imprint left by a person, animal, or event, primarily when coerced or when a strong emotion is released in the form of an image. in the context of a specific site.
